Board Positions
Trustee, Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre (August 2020 - present) The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre is based in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, where Roald Dahl lived. I'm so pleased to be able to help to secure Roald's legacy by sharing his life story and unlocking the secrets of his writing techniques to inspire the next generation of book lovers and storytellers. Trustee, The Yard Theatre (December 2017 - present) The Yard is a theatre and music venue in a converted warehouse in Hackney Wick. Since opening in 2011 it has become a necessity in theatre, upending traditions to fill the gap between performance and writing. My role on the Board is acting as the Yard Theatre’s fundraising trustee. Chair, Institute of Fundraising Cultural Sector Network (Vice Chair April 2015 - May 2020, Chair May 2020 - September 2020) The IoF’s Cultural Sector Network extends the influence, reach and standing of Cultural Sector fundraising and represents all those involved in charitable fundraising for the sector. The group secured Arts Council England funding to roll out its initiatives across the UK including mentoring for early career cultural fundraisers, a programme of live fundraising events and bursaries for Institute of Fundraising courses and conferences. In this volunteer role I was part of a working group that oversaw this Arts Council funded programme alongside representatives from the Institute of Fundraising’s Head Office and Young Arts Fundraisers. Trustee, Tonic Theatre Company (June 2012 - May 2020) Tonic supports theatre and the arts to achieve greater gender equality, diversity and inclusion. I’ve been on Tonic’s Board almost since it started, and as a trustee group we support Director, Lucy Kerbel, with Tonic’s strategic and financial planning, crucial for such a small but hugely ambitious Charity. Capital Campaign Project Committee Member, Bush Theatre (September 2013 - April 2016) At the start of the Bush Theatre's capital campaign I supported the Development Director, Trustees and staff with capital approaches. |
