Barn Theatre, Cirencester, Head of Fundraising, January 2023 - April 2024 - part-time
I'm responsible for putting plans in place to grow fundraising at The Barn and in 2023 raised £200,000 with our part-time Relationship Manager and Fundraising Assistant. This total included securing £30,000 from The Foyle Foundation and £25,000 from the Government's Rural England Prosperity Fund. The BRIT School, Trust and Statutory Fundraising Consultant, August 2020 - August 2023 Supporting the Director of Development to develop and execute the strategy for trusts and foundations funding for the school's exciting performing arts programme. I raised £271,000 in my first 8 months at the school from Garfield Weston Foundation, The Foyle Foundation and The Leverhulme Trust. I helped to recruit a new Trust Manager for the school. I was also responsible for co-ordinating The BRIT School's National Portfolio Organisation application to Arts Council England in May 2022, which was unsuccessful, but then subsequently securing a project grant. Chickenshed Theatre Company, Fundraising Consultant, February 2020, May - December 2022 Assisting Chickenshed's Senior Development Manager (Trusts and Foundations) and Managing Director with their Trust Fundraising Strategy. London Library, Trust and Statutory Fundraising Consultant, January 2021 - July 2022 Managing Trusts and Foundations fundraising at the London Library, including developing the trust strategy for their upcoming capital campaign and seeking revenue trust funding for their Emerging Writers Programme and heritage book collection raising almost £25,000. Statutory fundraising has included an Arts Council Project Grant under their new 2022 guidelines and a National Lottery Heritage Fund application. ACAVA, Fundraising Consultant, June - July 2020 Providing a Fundraising Strategy for the Chief Executive Officer, encompassing fundraising ideas for statutory, trust, individual small donations and major gifts approaches, to support ACAVA's work with artists and community members. Actors Touring Company, Fundraising Consultant, October 2018 - September 2020 Supporting the Executive Director of Actors Touring Company by writing a new fundraising strategy and an outline case for support developed in line with the new artistic vision from Matthew Xia, Artistic Director. Hoxton Hall, Fundraising Associate, June 2018 - March 2020 Supporting the Artistic Director of Hoxton Hall to carry out their fundraising strategy including securing a grant of £178,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Musical Theatre Academy, Fundraising Consultant, October 2019 - March 2020 Supporting the Principle of the MTA with approaches to trusts and individuals to support their bursary scheme for disadvantaged young students. Donmar Warehouse, Fundraising Consultant, January 2020 Assisting the Deputy Director of Development (Trusts and Foundations) with a strategic application to the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. Lyric Hammersmith, Fundraising Consultant, January 2020 Helping the Lyric's Director of Development with an approach to the National Lottery Heritage Fund. |
